Doggy Swims

General Information

  • The Doggy Swims are taking place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024.

  • ​Cost £10 per dog. Maximum 4 dogs per session.

  • Sessions are 30 minutes long running throughout each day from  09.15 to 18.45.

  • There is a 15 minute changeover between each session.

  • If you want to book more than one dog you need to make sure there are enough spaces left in the slot you have chosen.

  • If you want to have a Private Session you will need to book 4 dogs at a cost of £40 (even if you are bringing fewer dogs).

  • You will need to download and sign this WAIVER and bring it with you on the day

  • PLEASE BRING PROOF OF THE MOST RECENT VACCINATIONS FOR EACH DOG YOU BRING
     

How to Book

  • This year you need to sign up for a pool account then book & pay online.
    PLEASE NOTE THE SYSTEM WORKS BEST ON LAPTOPS AND DESKTOP MACHINES. IT DOES NOT WORK ON ALL PHONES

  • Once you have validated your email you can sign in, click on the date and click on any START button.

  • Once you have done this the BOOK buttons will appear and you can click on your chosen time slot.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION 

  • Metheringham Swimming Pool is NOT A DOG SWIM CENTRE.  This is an annual, one-off, recreational event FOR DOGS.

  • As a Swimming Pool, we have to follow stricter rules and WE CANNOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE IN THE WATER  for the dogs.

  • A volunteer WILL be available to assist the owners ON THE POOLSIDE.

  • A non-slip ramp, specifically designed for pet use, is fixed in the pool to assist with entry & exit from the water.

  • When your dog is actually swimming  in the Pool THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THEIR FEET DOWN ON THE BOTTOM.

  • If your dog is not an experienced swimmer, we recommend that you consider using a Doggy Life Jacket.

  • If you are unsure about whether the pool is a suitable venue for your dog to swim, please seek professional advice.
